My health @ EU

The eHealth Digital Services Infrastructure (eHDSI) ensures that European citizens can benefit their healthcare while traveling to another country within the EU. It enables EU countries to exchange health data in a secure, efficient and interoperable way. Citizens can easily identify the availability of services under the brand "MyHealth @ EU".



While travelling within the European Union ​the Greek citizen will be able:
a) to receive the medicines of a Greek e-prescription prescribed by a Greek doctor in a pharmacy abroad.
b) to receive medical care from a foreign doctor, who will have access to his patient summary.

The European citizen traveling to Greece will be able to:
a) to receive the medicines of his own e-prescription in any Greek pharmacy.
b) to receive medical care from a Greek doctor, who will have access to his patient summary.


Health Professionals

The Greek doctor will be able to retrieve the patient summary of citizens of other member states of the European Union who visit Greece.

The Greek pharmacist will be able to retrieve and dispense medicines of e-prescriptions for citizens of other European Union member states visiting Greece.



Third-party software houses will be able to integrate into their software suites  the cross-border services functionality provided by the application programming interface of the National Contact Point for eHealth, thus offering health professionals new app features within the same familiar environment.

Implementing Authorities

The  National Contact Point for eHealth  was implemented in the context of the  European Co-financed Action Connecting Europe Facility - CEF TELECOM / eHealth Generic Services , under an approved proposal submitted on behalf of Greece by the joint partnership of the bodies:

  • IDIKA SA - eGovernment Center for Social Security Services SA, Project Coordinator
  • AUTH - Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
  • ICCS - Institute of Communication & Computer Systems
  • Ministry of Health - National Authority for Electronic Health


Greek citizens, healthcare professionals and third-party software houses will have access to a dedicated service desk available on working days from 09:00 to 17:00 Greek local time.

The service desk will also support requests from equivalent National Contact Points, citizens and healthcare professionals of other EU Member States in English.
